This beautiful olla is from Mata Ortiz, Chihuahua, Mexico. It is approx. 5 1/2” diameter by 2 1/2” tall. Signed by master potter, Rocio Quezada. Rocio is from the world renown Quezada family of potters. This gorgeous olla is handmade with ancient traditions from the village of Mata Ortiz in Chihuahua, Mexico. Very collectible and unique. The clay is mined from the Sierra Madre Occidental mountain range, hand coiled, and finished with handmade paints from manganese and graphite. This olla has a rich black gloss and will be perfect for anyone's pottery collection.
